A Turkish ground handling company which provides services at major Indian airports lost its security clearance after Turkiye supported Pakistan during its military confrontation with India.
In an order, the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) said it has revoked the security clearance for Celebi Airport Services India, which is part of Turkiye-based Celebi.
"... the security clearance in r/o Celebi Airport Services India Pvt Ltd is hereby revoked with immediate effect in the interest of national security," it said.
Celebi provides services at nine airports in India—Mumbai, Delhi, Cochin, Kannur, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Goa, Ahmedabad and Chennai.

This is the first time India has taken a direct step against a Turkish company after New Delhi and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire on May 10.
Turkiye and Azerbaijan had openly supported Pakistan and condemned India's recent strikes on terror camps in that country and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) under Operation Sindoor.
According to reports, Pakistan also used Turkish drones on a large scale in the conflict.
The move of Ankara and Baku sparked off an outrage in India with thousands of people cancelling their travel bookings to these countries.
Several Indian educational institutions including Jawaharlal Nehru University, Jamia Millia Islamia University and Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) suspended the MoUs signed with various Turkish universities.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that New Delhi has ramped up diplomatic engagements with the traditional opponents of Turkiye and Azerbaijan including Greece, Armenia, Cyprus and Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.
