Mahindra announces price details, booking date of its first electric SUV XUV400

Introductory prices are applicable on the first 5,000 bookings

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, on Monday, announced the pricing and other details of XUV400, its first electric SUV, which was unveiled on World EV Day in 2022.

Available in two variants—XUV400 EC and & XUV400 EL—with five colour options, the ex-showroom price of the all-electric XUV400 starts at Rs 15.99 Lakh. The introductory prices are applicable on the first 5,000 bookings for each of the two variants, a press release from the company read.

Mahindra aims to deliver 20,000 units of the XUV400 within a year of its launch.

The XUV400 EL is powered by a 39.4 kWh lithium-ion battery, and offers an MIDC (Modified Indian Driving Cycle) range of upto 456 km and comes with a 7.2 kW charger, while XUV400 EC is powered by a 34.5 kWh lithium-ion battery. The XUV400 EC has an MIDC range of upto 375 km and comes with a 3.3 kW charger and 7.2 kW charger as an option.

It accelerates fairly fast, reaching 0-100 kmph in a mere 8.3 seconds. The top speed of 150 kmph.

The colour options include Arctic Blue, Everest White, Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black, and Infinity Blue with dual tone option of Satin Copper. The bookings will begin on January 26, 2023.
The eSUV comes with a standard warranty of three years / unlimited kms and will additionally come with a warranty of eight years or 160,000 kms (whichever is earlier) for the battery and motor.
