In 2018 eight AMG and dream cars were launched in India and it looks like 2019 is also going to be a great year for Mercedes-Benz India. The German auto major has started the year with the launch of V-Class, with which they created a brand new segment altogether. On Thursday, taking their product offensive further, they added yet another AMG car to its portfolio with the launch of the AMG C43 4MATIC Coupé.
The all-new sporty and unique offering from Mercedes-Benz comes from their C-Class range and is the first ever two-door coupe of the 43 family. Boasting a 3.0litre V6 engine, that comes with a 9-speed transmission, which belts out 520Nm of torque, this 4.7 second sports coupé is certainly going to enthrall drivers everywhere. Boasting light alloy wheels and an aerodynamic shape, the coupé also comes with a sporty engine sound which according to Martin Schwenk, MD & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, is “symphony to the ears”. Besides, enthusiasts are also going to enjoy driving the coupé in five different modes, which have been tailored to suit engine preferences.
At Mercedes-Benz India, Schwenk believes that the second and third tier cities are going to be the growth drivers and considering AMG strategy has been hugely successful in India, they are betting big on the success of this newly launched sporty coupé. By now the company also have six performance centres in India.
The highly customisable AMG C43 4MATIC Coupé is indeed very big on aesthetics and since customer satisfaction in the luxury segment is a very big thing, Mercedes-Benz's latest coupé will be available at prices starting from Rs 75 lakhs ex-showroom which actually is not bad at all for the combination of sportiness and sophistication that the car is!
