Sameer Wankhede, a well-known IRS officer from the 2008 batch, attended the All-India Homoeopathy Research Summit 2023 held in K. Suresh Bhatt Auditorium on 19th March, among other dignitaries. His presence had significance as he narrated his experiences with Homeopathic treatment during childhood.

“When I was 10-11 years old, my mother was tensed over my height, as it seemed my height growth had stopped. Out of worry, she consulted a homoeopath and started giving doses of homoeopathic medicine of which I cannot forget the name, even after getting 42 years old.”

Further, he described how the dosage of homoeopathic medicines brought a monumental shift in his treatment: “I would regularly consume sweet flavoured Baryta Carb tablets every day for the rest of the year. Soon after, by the age of 12, my growth in height resumed, and I was able to grow my usual height without any side effects.” Apart from sharing his real-life story, he also praised Burnett  Homeopathy  Pvt.  Ltd.   founder Dr Nitish Chandra Dubey for his selfless efforts in promoting Homeopathic practices globally.

His account of homoeopathic treatment at an early age highlights the major principles of the science of natural healthcare. It underscores features of homoeopathic treatment, such as ease of consumption, simple treatment, suitability for minors, and visible treatment results.

After several homoeopaths put forward their thoughts on the theme ‘Futuristic Homoeopathy for 2030’, he went on to take a vow against drug trafficking. As an ex-Zonal Director of the Narcotics Control Bureau, he was delighted to initiate an Anti-Drug oath with 4000 other homoeopaths. After the oath, Dr Nitish Dubey thanked Mr Sameer Wankhede for his presence and active involvement in the event.

In addition to a discussion on the future of Homoeopathy and several other brainstorming sessions, an award ceremony also took place. It recognized the efforts of doctors and researchers promoting homoeopathic practices with the first-ever Iconic Legends of Homoeopathic Brilliance Award. Young scholars were felicitated with the All India Homoeopathic Youth Icon Awards for encouraging Homoeopathy’s growth.

Apart from Mr Sameer Wankhede, his wife Actor Kranti Redkar, and several distinguished dignitaries also shared the stage. Shri Nitin Gadkari (Union Road Transport & Highways Minister), Shri Eknath Shinde (CM Maharashtra), Shri Ashwini Kumar Choubey (Minister of State GOI), Shri Uday Ravindra Samant (cabinet minister, GOM), and Ex-CJI Mr Sharad Bobde were other special guests who shared their vision on Homeopathy at the Pan-India homoeopathy Research Summit 2023. Leading figures from Homeopathy, such as Dr Ramjee Singh (CCH Chief), and Dr Dinesh Chandra Dubey ( HariOm Homeo ), were also present, among many other prominent homoeopathic doctors & scholars.

Finally, the summit concluded with a musical evening where singers Kailash Kher and Himesh Reshammiya brought fun to the event with their performances.
