As the India vs New Zealand match progressed on Sunday, a young ball boy at Wankhede stadium elicited the loudest cheers for a brilliant one-handed catch from outside the boundary lines.

The Indian skipper, who was batting alongside Dinesh Karthik, had pulled off a six on an Adam Milne delivery, which soared past Colin Munro in the deep.

Apart from sending the crowd into raptures, the catch was widely hailed by the commentators, who called him a "brilliant young man".

Twitter hailed the boy, calling him a "young Kohli" and a shining star in India's future.

Earlier in the match, Mitchell Santner had dropped the Indian skipper, on what could have been an easy catch and a crucial dismissal.
