Less than two weeks after Pakistan made a media spectacle of Indian prisoner Kulbhushan Jadhav's meeting with his family, Islamabad has released a new propaganda video of the alleged spy in which he accuses an Indian diplomat.

The video, which was released by the Pakistan Foreign Office on Thursday, shows Jadhav purportedly confessing to be a commissioned officer of the Indian Navy. He is also seen alleging that India's deputy high commissioner, who accompanied his wife and mother to their meeting on December 25, had yelled at his mother. He also thanked the Pakistani government for allowing the meeting.

Following the December 25 meeting, India had criticised Pakistan for not sticking to its commitments on the family's meeting and alleged that Jadhav appeared to be visibly stressed during the interaction, which happened behind a glass screen. The Indian government also condemned Pakistan for humiliating Jadhav's wife and mother on the pretext of security precautions.

Jadhav was arrested by Pakistan in March 2016 and later sentenced to death for being a spy, an accusation that India has dismissed.
