New Delhi, Oct 29 (PTI) The BJP's youth wing on Thursday claimed "anarchic elements" are hell-bent on plunging India into the "fires of violent chaos" and vowed not to let the country's youth become a pawn in the hands of "anti-national or anarchist forces".
In a seven-page resolution passed at its national meeting, Bhartiya Jananta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) alleged that anti-India elements, disturbed by India's growing global stature, economic strength and democratic stability under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, are hatching a "grand conspiracy to create unrest and conditions akin to a civil war in the country".
They are targeting India's Gen-Z in cahoots with the "communist-Maoist ecosystem and foreign" powers, it claimed.
"The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha resolves that the energy of India's youth will not be allowed to become a pawn for any anti-national or anarchic force, and that we will always stand at the forefront to defend Dr Ambedkar's Constitution," the resolution read.
It also called upon the country's youth to "completely boycott, socially and ideologically, the pseudo-movements driven by foreign funding, 'toolkits', and 'mobocracy' that incite violence on the streets."
The BJYM passed the resolution at its national executive's day-long meeting presided over by its national president Hemang Joshi at the BJP headquarters here.
"The BJYM will conduct an extensive public awareness campaign across all major universities, colleges and coaching institutions in the country on the theme: 'GenZ vs Urban Naxal Toolkit'," the resolution said.
The BJP's youth wing also resolved to develop a digital 'Rashtra Raksha Network' dedicated to providing a "robust response to the web of misinformation spread via AI-bots, fake news and woke culture on social media".
"The BJYM, while remaining within democratic and legal boundaries, will strongly oppose any objectionable or treasonous activity directed against the Indian Army, the national flag, Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram, or constitutional institutions," it added.
Addressing the meeting, BJP president Nitin Nabin emphasised the importance of engaging with first-time voters, students and young professionals, and strengthening BJYM's presence from campus to polling booth levels.
He also asked them to take Prime Minister Narendra Modi's development initiatives and their achievements to every section of society, ensuring that the benefits of development reach people at grassroots level, the BJYM said in a statement.
Union minister Mansukh Mandaviya and BJP national general secretary Harish Dwivedi also participated in the meeting.
