Chennai, Aug 22 (PTI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin on Friday claimed that minorities were facing a crisis as never before and that the designs to destabilise communal harmony in the nation will not last long.
While the DMK government under him strived hard in fostering education for all by removing caste and religious inequalities, there were some states in the country where "a feeling of hatred is being incited."

"And strangely, those state governments supported the move," Stalin said without mentioning anyone, while speaking at the centenary celebrations of the Good Shepherd Convent here.
"We are functioning on the principle of ensuring everything for all in education and other sectors. The government fostered education by encouraging students through numerous schemes like the Chief Minister's Breakfast scheme, and Naan Mudhalvan," the Chief Minister said.
He further said that "minorities are facing a crisis as never before. This is not permanent. The designs of forces that want to destabilise the communal harmony of the nation will not last long."

Stalin called upon the students to learn to see everyone as equal and not to differentiate anybody on the basis of caste or religion. "An egalitarian society and brotherhood will prevail only when you grow up in this spirit," the Chief Minister emphasised.

Also, they should use science for their advancement in their academic pursuit, but never allow it to shape their thinking.
"Likewise, don't search for your role models on Instagram. Entertainment is part of life, but not life. Don't believe reels as reality. Marks and degrees have more value than likes and views," Stalin advised.
