Panaji, Aug 13 (PTI) Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP president J P Nadda in New Delhi on Wednesday and expressed gratitude over the passage of the Goa Scheduled Tribes Political Reservation Bill in Parliament.
    In a series of posts on his X handle, Sawant shared pictures of his meetings with Shah and Nadda.
    “Expressed my heartfelt gratitude for the passage of the Goa Scheduled Tribes Political Reservation Bill in Parliament,” he said.
    During his meeting with Shah, Sawant also invited him to visit Goa in September to launch the ‘Mhaje Ghar Yojana’ and several other initiatives aimed at Goa’s development, said one of the tweets.
    Earlier in the day, Sawant met Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare and BJP president J P Nadda in the national capital.
    The CM said he also sought the Centre's support in expediting the proposal for 50 additional MBBS seats for Goa Medical College, which has already been submitted to the National Medical Commission.
