As more footage from the Charlie Kirk shooting event emerges, a rare video shows a bearded man celebrating after looking in the direction of the gunshot, soon after the bullet struck Kirk’s throat. The man, clad in a black T-shirt and a backwards baseball cap, is seen fisting his pump in celebration as chaos erupts following the shooting.

The man sported long hair and a beard. He was seen remaining standing even when others threw themselves on the ground after the bullet pierced Kirk. He was also seen shouting “USA, USA, USA!”  with both fists in the air, in reference to US President Donald Trump’s actions after a bullet scraped through his ears at a rally in Butler, Pa., during the election campaign.

His action of looking back at the direction from where the bullet emerged has also cast doubts. His identity is still unclear, according to the New York Post.

After the video went viral, many accused the man of knowing where the shooter was. “This guy happens to know where the shooter was and is looking back, cheering him on after the lifeless body of Charlie Kirk has fallen to the ground,” one user wrote on X, sharing the clip. “This guy cheered after Charlie Kirk was assassinated. I have no words left,” another X user wrote.

However, soon after the video went viral, the man, identified as David, took to X to clear his stance. Stating that he will be explaining himself very soon, David said, “every lie about me brings me one step closer to becoming very dead and at the hands of the mob.”

“I'm a Father, and I feel the weight of Charlie's loss to his family. I stand for my fallen brothers. We are unequal in risk at this moment, so if I address my actions, it will be after some time. I didn't wish to have my face everywhere; I'm terrified for my family and sad for Charlie's, too. I can not bear both. Please pray for Charlie's Family,” he posted.

He then put up another post stating that there was a lot of rage directed at him. “I promise you'll understand when I speak, and I eagerly await a return to silence. Some are upset because I smile, some because I cheer, and others because they don't have the information yet. For everything Charlie represented, I was there for him, not for his words. I just wanted to meet him,” he added, pleading with people not to judge him based on a clip.
