After reports suggested that Pakistani TikToker Sana Yousuf, 17, was shot dead for rejecting her online acquaintance's advances. The killer was identified as Umar Hayat alias Kaka, 22.

Hayat, who hails from Faisalabad, travelled 200 km to meet Sana and was seen loitering outside her Islamabad home. He reportedly did not pursue education beyond high school and belonged to a lower middle class family.

The man forcibly entered the residence of the teen influencer on June 2 around 5 pm, saying he wanted to be friends with her. Her mother and aunt were present when the incident happened.

Sana, however, rejected his advances and tried to calm him down. "You are getting angry, leave this place. There are CCTV cameras, go away," Sana reportedly said before he shot her.

Hayat fired two bullets at her chest at a close range before fleeing the scene on his motorbike. Islamabad police have recovered the gun and Sana's iPhone from his possession.

He had reportedly tried to reach out to her multiple times but repeated rejections enraged him. Hayat had previously come to her home on May 29, which was her birthday and tried to contact her seven to eight hours but in vain.

"A monster, cold-blooded murderer is now in the law’s grip," Islamabad Inspector General (IG) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi said.

Sana, who hailed from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Upper Chitral district, was residing at Sector G-13 in Islamabad. She had a million followers on TikTok and over 500,000 followers on Instagram.
