Russian authorities on Wednesday alleged that Ukraine tried to attack the Kremlin with two drones overnight, adding that President Vladimir Putin was safe and continued to work with his schedule unchanged.

Russia termed the alleged attack as a terrorist act and vowed retaliation.

Russian military and security forces disabled the drones before they could strike, it said and claimed that no damage or casualties took place.
