At least 150 people were reportedly injured in a blast inside a mosque in Pakistan's Peshawar on Monday. According to a recent report, over 30 people have been killed.

The explosion took place near the Police Lines area after the Zuhr prayers. The blast led to one side of the mosque to collapse. According to security officials, the suicide attacker was present in the front row during the prayers when he exploded himself, injuring dozens of people offering prayers.

Mohammad Asim, spokesperson of the Lady Reading Hospital (LRC) told Dawn that, the injured persons are being moved to the medical facility. Only ambulances are being allowed in the area, he added. The hospital has appealed citizens to donate blood for the victims.

Hospital sources said 13 of those injured were in a critical condition.

A similar incident took place in Peshawar last year when a suicide blast took place in a Shia mosque claiming 63 lives.

This is a developing story.
