The countdown has officially begun for Dhurandhar 2 with the release date less than ten days away. While the film is officially slated to release on 19th March 2026, the makers have recently preponed it by a bit. This means that the paid previews will be held on 18th March from 5 pm onwards across India.
Generally, paid previews don't have a very wide release because if the audience response doesn't go to plan, it could affect the film straightaway and the opening day's numbers could also suffer a heavy dent. Needless to say, the producers of Dhurandhar 2 are totally confident about their product, and the paid previews have gotten an incredibly wide release.
Advance booking trends for Dhurandhar 2 are mind-boggling across the country. The multiplex chains, notably PVR-INOX, have gone bonkers. It must also be noted that these paid previews are seeing astronomical prices, starting from Rs 700 and beyond. In Gold class, reclines are being priced beyond Rs 2000.
Despite such premium pricing, Dhurandhar 2 is seeing unprecedented response and has set a new benchmark in paid previews. Stree 2 with approximately Rs 8.75 crore nett holds the record for highest paid previews record and that has been destroyed already. Dhurandhar 2 will go past Rs 20 crore nett easily and probably Rs 30 crore as well.
It is really hard to predict the final range for Dhurandhar 2's paid previews due to such an insane trend. In areas like the Telugu states, the advance booking and hype has never been seen for a Hindi film in decades. The southern parts of India did underperform for Dhurandhar if we compare to the historic performances elsewhere. That will be taken care of with Dhurandhar 2, if this trend is anything to go by.
