Several audio recordings obtained by ZimLive has revealed that Zimbabwean Vice President Kembo Mohadi has been soliciting with several women at his office. The clips of leaked phone calls reveal that Mohadi was sleeping with a married subordinate and had arranged for encounters of sexual nature with another married woman. One clipping also revealed that he tried to lure a beneficiary of his scholarship to a hotel room in Bulawayo for sex.

The Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum and the Women and Law in Southern Africa said, that these revelations throw light on a culture of abuse of office and power by public officials to gratify their sexual needs.

Mohadi, on Wednesday, said that the recordings are a result of hacking and voice cloning. The Women’s Coalition, a rights group, has petitioned the state Zimbabwe Gender Commission to investigate possible incidents of sexual harassment in the vice president's office and relations sexual in nature with subordinates in the office of the vice president. Mohadi has also said the audio clips are a result of political scheming against him.
