US President Donald Trump, who returned to the campaign trail after being hospitalised with Covid-19, held an election rally in Florida on Monday. While addressing supporters, the President said, "I feel so powerful. I'll walk in there, I'll kiss everyone in that audience. I'll kiss the guys and the beautiful women, just give you a big fat kiss."

The rally took place after Trump’s medical team announced that he tested negative for the virus and was no longer contagious. "I went through it and now they say I'm immune," Trump told a cheering crowd in Sanford, near Orlando.

There are 22 days until Trump faces Joe Biden in the election. Trump, who trails in popularity polls, hopes to snag a win by gaining support in swing states. "If I don't sound like a typical politician, it's because frankly I'm not a politician. I’m embarrassed by politicians… I had a very nice life before this. It was a lot easier,” he told a cheering crowd.

At the rally that lasted 60 minutes, Trump talked about America's wealth, the military, immigration and police funding. “We’re returning power to you, the American people," he said.

Some of the placards at the rally read, “Boycott China” and “Hillary’s a disaster, Biden’s worse.” At the rally, he said that his administration was doing more for the US than any other government had done. Trump is expected to visit Pennsylvania, Iowa and North Carolina this week.
