Iran, after arresting individuals connected with shooting down the Ukrainian plane, today arrested a man for posting a video of the two missiles shooting down the plane.

The person will face charges related to national security. Outrage broke-out in Iran after the Flight PS752 crashed on the outskirts of Tehran on January 8. The crash occurred shortly after Iran sent 15 missiles at Iraqi airbase that hosted US personnel for killing its top military leader General Qasem Soleimani.

On January 9, Iranian officials said that they won't hand over the black box of the aircraft that killed all 179 people on board when it crashed. This enraged protesters who demanded answers and said that leader Khamenei should resign and chanted “Death to liars!” and “Death to the dictator!”

On January 11, Iran announced that soldiers from the Revolutionary Force Guard personnel accidentally shot it down. President Hassan Rouhani said that he deeply regretted the incident. Amirali Hajizadeh, a senior Iranian Revolutionary Guards commander, also said that he accepts full responsibility for the crash. Rouhani also said that the investigation would be overseen by a "special court".

The video shows that the two missiles struck the passenger jet 30 seconds apart.

The footage was shot from a rooftop in Bidkaneh, a village four miles from an Iranian military site.
