The ongoing Asia Cup tournament is gearing up for its summit clash. For the first time in the tournament's history, India and Pakistan will be facing each other in the title clash. The two teams have played each other twice already in this tournament and India won those fixtures quite comfortably. That, however, will count for nothing as the two sides lock horns once again with the trophy on the line. As part of the grandeur, PVR-INOX announced the screening of this game in more than 100 screens across the country. This is a big change from the overall stance in India at the earlier stages of the tournament.

The reception in India has warmed up towards this marquee clash, considering that there were emphatic boycott chants from Indian supports towards their own fans as well as national team cricketers. The general social media trend was about people not wanting the match to happen as they felt that cricket shouldn't be played with a country that is in extreme political tension with themselves. Netizens were divided on this and two games later, that is still the same. However, India's antics after the two Pakistan games of not shaking hands and ignoring their Pakistan counterparts has seemingly worked with the nationalist section of the country.
Also, Salman Ali Agha's men have done their bit of triggering with on-field gestures from Sahibzada Farhan and Haris Rauf. The competitive nature of the two games has been far from ideal but all the off-field drama adds serious spice to the final. Pakistan remain an unpredictable side and the weight of the favourites tag will definitely be on India's shoulders. Meanwhile, let us have a look at the list of PVR INOX properties that are screening the game.
