Alejandro Garnacho leaving straight for the Old Trafford tunnel after being "sacrificed" as a consequence of Patrick Dorgu’s red card in the first half of a Premier League game had made news. The incident happened during United’s 3-2 win against Ipswich at home. New recruit Dorgu was given the marching orders for a 43rd-minute stamp on Omari Hutchinson and Ruben Amorim called back Garnacho to make way for Noussair Mazraoui to restore balance.
An upset Garnacho headed straight for the dressing room -- a decision that didn't go unnoticed among Manchester United fan circles. However, things worsened as Garnacho soon shared an image of himself looking dejected on the pitch as his Instagram story. This further irked certain Red Devils, who didn't like the young Argentine's attitude.
Just seen this clip now which indeed shows that Garnacho told the staff he was going down the tunnel to change his shirt.

Still shouldn't have posted that pic after the game, though.pic.twitter.com/RsgDOnvxZu
Discussions are heating up around the development, amidst Amorim confirming that he will be talking to Garnacho. "I will talk obviously with Garnacho about that, so I will talk about that if you want in the next press conference,” the United manager had said.
Meanwhile, a new video was shared on the internet that defended Garnacho's decision to leave the pitch. The clip captured Garnacho gesturing to the bench that he was going to change his shirt that was drenched. -- meaning, he didn't leave the team in anger but had a justifiable reason. This angle was not available on the broadcast and if it was televised, many fans wouldn't have turned against the winger, some claimed. (We couldn't confirm if Garnacho reappeared for the second half.)

Alejandro Garnacho, who was earlier considered untouchable alongside Kobbie Mainoo, was heavily linked to a move to Napoli during the January window. Manchester United are struggling at fourteenth in the table with 33 points (9 wins, 6 draws and 12 defeats).
