In more bad news to Ruben Amorim, Manchester United attacker Amad Diallo has sustained an ankle injury that ruled him out of action for a number of weeks, the Premier League club said Sunday.
"Our reigning Player of the Month sustained the problem in training at Carrington, ahead of Sunday's 16:30 GMT kick-off at Tottenham in the Premier League. Everybody at United wishes Amad a speedy recovery and send our warmest wishes to him, following this unfortunate setback," the club said in response to the youngster's injury.
Extremely disappointed to be writing this message in such a crucial time of the season.

Amad Diallo, joint-top scorer in all competitions for the team along with skipper Bruno Fernandes, picked up the injury during training this week.
"Extremely disappointed to be writing this message in such a crucial time of the season. Unfortunately, I will be out for some time with an injury. I will come back stronger than ever!! Time to support the boys from the outside. Still loads to play for," he reacted to the development.

Diallo has been one of United's best players in a troubled season for the 20-time Premier League champion. He has scored nine goals including a late winner against Manchester City in December and an equalizer in a 2-2 draw with Liverpool in January.
Diallo's stellar performances clearly made him one of the favourites to land the club's Jimmy Murphy Player of the Year award for 2024/25. His injury leaves United coach Amorim short of attacking options after Marcus Rashford and Antony were loaned out in the January transfer window.
