Speculations are rife that Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya has separated from his wife and Serbian model Natasa Stankovic, and the marriage may soon be heading for a divorce.
Reportedly, the rumours stemmed after Stankovic dropped Pandya’s surname in her Instagram. Also, neither of them shared any images of the family on social media in recent times. A Reddit post by a user named ‘BollyBlindsNGossip’ also claimed Stankovic was not seen in the stands to cheer Pandya during Mumbai Indians matches this Indian Premier League season. The Reddit user also said the cricketer did not post any message for his wife on her birthday, on March 4.
The Mumbai Indians captain proposed to Natasa Stankovic on a yacht in January 2020 and the couple welcomed their first child Agastyain in July same year. The couple renewed their vows at a ceremony in Udaipur, on Valentine’s Day in 2023, Mint reported.
A recent Reddit post suggested the cricketer would have to give away 70 per cent of his assets as divorce settlement or alimony to Stankovic.
Though rumours are rife, nothing official has been communicated from either Pandya or Stankovic’s side. And, Stankovic’s account still has pictures of the family.
Pandya faced ire for Mumbai Indians’s poor performance this IPL season. Natasa Stankovic too faced a vicious cyber-attack after Mumbai Indians defeat this season. The cricketer is the vice-captain of India’s T20 World Cup team.
Natasa Stankovic, reportedly, came to India in 2012 and started off as a model and featured in advertisements. Her first break came when she appeared in the song 'Aiyo Ji' in the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Satyagraha, in 2013. But the two music videos with rapper Badshah in 2014—Bandook and DJ Wale Babu—catapulted her into the limelight.
