Rakitic is not the first top-tier star to migrate to Saudi from La Liga. Real Madrid star Karim Benzema lead the list of players to make a switch to the Asian country to join the ranks of Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Ruben Neves amongst others.
Sevilla, meanwhile, is living a nightmare. They are struggling at 17th in the Spanish top league -- just a point clear of the relegation zone. They are up against Osasuna next on Sunday -- two days after being eliminated from the Copa del Rey by Atletico Madrid.
