Star batter Virat Kohli remains the top-earning Indian on social media platform Instagram. The cricketer, who has a massive fan following, reportedly charges a whopping Rs 11.45 crore for every sponsored post on Instagram.
The former India captain has more than 256 million followers on Instagram. This surely makes Kohli any advertiser's dream. The cricketer is married to actor Anushka Sharma. He will be seen playing for the Indian side for the upcoming Asia Cup and the ODI World Cup.
Topping the list of Instagram earners is footballer Cristiano Ronaldo. The 38-year-old sports star who has won the Ballon d'Or title several times, charges $3.23 million or Rs 26.75 crore per sponsored post, according to the 2023 Instagram Rich List compiled by Hopper HQ, an Instagram scheduling tool. Ronaldo, who recently transferred to Saudi Arabia, on Thursday, became the first person to reach 600 million followers on Instagram.
The second-highest Instagram earner is Ronaldo's rival Lionel Messi, who earns $2.6 million per sponsored post. Messi has over 469 million followers on Instagram. Messi tends to share snapshots from events he attends and time spent with friends and family on the social media platform.
Other high earners on Instagram are Selena Gomez, Kylie Jenner, 'The Rock' Dwayne Johnson.
