Portugal caption Cristiano Ronaldo has joined Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr on a two-year contract.

Al Nassr FC made the official announcement on Saturday saying that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner will join on a deal until 2025. "History in the making. This is a signing that will not only inspire our club to achieve even greater success but inspire our league, our nation and future generations, boys and girls to be the best version of themselves. Welcome @Cristiano to your new home @AlNassrFC," tweeted AlNassrFC.

It was after his exit from Manchester United last month he joined Al Nassr.

According to reports, his contract has been estimated to be worth more than 200 million euros.

"I am fortunate that I have won everything I set out to win in European football and feel now that this is the right moment to share my experience in Asia. I am looking forward to joining my new teammates and together with their help the Club to achieve success," Ronaldo said in the statement.

Last month after a controversial TV interview, Ronaldo and his former club Manchester United agreed to terminate his contract. He said that he was betrayed by the club and has no respect for its manager Erik Ten Hag.

The 37-year-old forward had earlier announced that Qatar World Cup would be his last World Cup match and he had plans to retire at the age of 40.

"This is a signing that will not only inspire our club to achieve even greater success but inspire our league, our nation and future generations," said Al Nassr Football Club President Musalli Almuammar.

The Saudi Arabian Club has won nine Saudi Pro Premier League titles and hopes are high with Ronaldo joining the club.
