Former India cricketer Suresh Raina can’t wait to join his Chennai Super Kings teammates at the training camp as is evident from his response to a video shared by the franchise showing him playing some great shots during practice.

Raina said he was “super excited” to get back to cricket after he pulled out of the Indian Premier League 2020 due to personal reasons.

The official Twitter account of CSK shared a video which showed Raina doing some warm up exercises before playing a few shots.

“In awe of the southpaw! #ChinnaThala - Coming Soon with #WhistlePodu #Yellove,” CSK had tweeted.

Raina retweeted the video and commented, “Super Excited and Eagerly waiting to come to our den (sic).”

Several fans replied to the tweet welcoming their ‘Chinna Thala’, hoping to see Raina in action soon.

Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, meanwhile, was already in Chennai and has started his training after undergoing a five-day quarantine.

The 2021 IPL will kick off on April 9 in Chennai with defending champions Mumbai Indians taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore. The final will be staged in the world’s largest cricket ground Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 30.

CSK will start their campaign against Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium on April 10.

The Chennai team had a dismal outing last year, finishing seventh in the points table and failing to make it to the playoffs for the first time since the inaugural IPL.
