Liverpool's Mohamed Salah has tested positive for COVID-19 again. The 28-year-old Egyptian striker will not feature in Liverpool's key Premier League clash against Leicester City on Sunday. This is the second time that Salah hass tested positive.

Salah has been in self-isolation in Egypt's Red Sea resort of el-Gouna, where he arrived earlier this week. He had previously self-isolated in a Cairo hotel. He first tested positive for the virus on Friday on the eve of Egypt's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Togo. The Pharaohs beat Togo 1-0 in Cairo, and 3-1 on Tuesday in Togo's capital, Lome. Salah's international teammate Mohamed Elneny has also tested positive for coronavirus. Elneny plays as a midfielder for Arsenal. All three players had arrived in Egypt to feature in the country's latest round of matches in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
