West Indies batsman Nicholas Pooran on Tuesday announced his engagement to his long-time girlfriend Alyssa Miguel, sharing a picture of the happy couple on his Instagram account. In the photo, the young cricketer is seen proposing to Miguel on one knee and placing an engagement ring on her finger.
“God has blessed us with a great blessing. I am glad to announce that @kathrina_miguel and I got engaged. Love you Migz. I got you,” Pooran wrote under the image.
Miguel, too, posted pictures of the moment on her Instagram account.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. Ecclesiastes 3:11. Being loved by you is a blessing I thank God everyday for. Love you @nicholaspooran,” she wrote.
Fans and fellow cricketers soon flooded social media with congratulatory messages for the couple. Pooran’s teammates from the West Indies national team and the Kings X Punjab franchise in the IPL wished them on Instagram.
Jason Holder wrote, “Man oh man. LOVE is pure! Congrats to you both.” Chris Gayle, too, congratulated Pooran.
Pooran’s KXIP teammate Mandeep Singh wrote, “Congrats Nicky paaji! Bruaaaahh.” Coach Anil Kumble said, “Congratulations NickyP! God bless you both.” Mayank Agarwal wrote, “Congratulations you both.”
The official Instagram handle of the KXIP team also congratulated him on the occasion.
