The silver lining amid the gloom of the COVID-19 pandemic around the world, has been the peek into the hitherto unknown avatars of our favourite celebrities, be it film stars or sportspersons.

With all sporting activities cancelled or postponed, almost everybody is at home because of lockdown, spending time with their families. With these celebrities posting videos of their indoor activities on social media, the fans, too, are happy to know how their idols are spending their time.

Some of the Indian cricketers like Shreyas Iyer and Shikhar Dhawan have been posting some hilarious videos, much to the delight of their fans. Also, with house-helps unavailable because of the lockdown, some of them have taken to doing household chores themselves. Saurashtra skipper Jaydev Unadkat, for instance, posted pictures of vegetables he had, on Twitter. In his first tweet, he wrote an emotional caption, thanking his mother for doing it every day for all these years.

“By, Yours truly.. To, The Mother.. (who does it infinite times without any such show-off & appreciation) ❤️ #QuarantineLife,” he wrote.

It was the next tweet, however, that had his fans in splits. He credited his Saurashtra teammate and India Test specialist Cheteshwar Pujara for teaching him a thing or two about patience. “Also, I must add cutting the cluster beans did require a lot of patience.. @cheteshwar1 Your Ranji final innings gave me a fresh shot of patience when I was about to give up!”

The left-arm pacer and Pujara share a great camaraderie, having guided Saurashtra to its maiden Ranji Trophy title last month.

Not one to miss a good opportunity to pull Unadkat's leg, Pujara replied to the latter's tweet with a hilarious one of his own. “Ohhh I thought you were prepping for life after marriage”. Unadkat got engaged last month, just two days after the Ranji Trophy win.

Unadkat enjoyed a splendid Ranji Trophy season and accounted for 67 wickets at 13.23, including match-winning spells on the last day of both the semifinal and the final respectively.
