Juventus’ Paulo Dybala, who recovered after coming down with coronavirus, said he was struggling to breathe while he was ill. The Juventus forward was one of three players from the club that tested positive for coronavirus. Rugani and Matuidi were the other two players who tested positive for the virus that has brought the entire sporting fraternity to a standstill.

Speaking to a television channel based out of Juventus, Dybala said, “I’ve had strong symptoms, but I’m much better today. Now, I can move and walk and try to work out. A few days ago, when I tried to do those things, I was struggling for breath. My muscles ached”. Juventus’ entire team had been put under quarantine after Dybala tested positive. This had also resulted in their Champions League games and Serie A games being postponed.

Serie A games have been suspended since March 9. Dybala was the first high profile player to have tested positive since the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. Italy is the worst affected country in Europe with 86,498 positive cases so far, out of which 9,134 have died. Italy also recorded the most number of deaths in a single day in any country (over 900).
