Sri Lanka has won the toss and decided to bat first against India at Headingley on Saturday. Virat Kohli-led Team India have brought in two changes for their match against Sri Lanka—Yuzvendra Chahal and Mohammed Shami have been rested while Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja have been included in the team.
This will be Jadeja's first game of the ICC World Cup 2019. Sri Lanka has replaced Jeffrey Vandersay with Thisara Perera.

The match is important for India as they get to test its wobbly middle order against Sri Lanka ahead of their semi-final match. The middle-order puzzle has remained unsolved and it has increasingly looked that Indian team management has been heavily dependent on Plan A, which is success from their top-order.
