Legendary cricketer Anil Kumble, one of the best spinners to have played for India, celebrates his 48th birthday today. And birthday wishes poured in from all quarters for the spin legend. Former and present cricketers and fans, too, posted messages on Twitter to wish Kumble.

Happiest birthday to one of India’s greatest ever match winners, a man who defined grit and courage. Those toe-crushing yorkers to tail-enders are something even pace bowlers struggle to execute. Have a great & jumbo life ahead @anilkumble1074 bhai ! pic.twitter.com/RN5jXb6onl

One of Kumble's most memorable performance is his all-ten haul in 1999 against Pakistan. He became only the second bowler in the history of Test cricket to claim all ten wickets in an innings of a match.
Kumble's 619 Test wickets is the third highest after Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan (800) and Australia's Shane Warne (708). He has also claimed 337 ODI wickets and 57 T20 wickets.
Kumble, who announced his retirement in 2008, has played a career total of 132 Tests and 271 ODIs.
The legendary spinner also served as head coach of the Indian cricket team in 2016, but stepped down a year later when relations between him and captain Virat Kohli strained.
