India may have lost the ongoing five-match Test series against England but
they don't seem to have lost much as far as the earnings are concerned. The BCCI, today, released the payments made to the players and head coach Ravi Shastri for August.
The BCCI paid Shastri Rs 2.05 crore as advance fees for his services for three months—from 18.07.2018 to 17.10.2018—as per the payment details on the Board’s website. As per the current contract, the Board pays Shastri Rs 8 crore.

Players who were part of Tests got Rs 29,27,700 each—their share of ICC Test rankings cash prize received from the global cricket body. India finished top of Test rankings for the second time in a row and also retained the ICC Test mace. Skipper Virat Kohli got Rs 1.25 crore for the ODI and Test series in South Africa, along with the ICC prize money.
The players have been paid the retainer fees for their central contracts and match fees after deducting the due taxes. Here are the full details of the payments:
