Anish Bhanwala won gold in the men's 25m rapid fire pistol and fired a new meet record in the Commonwealth Games. Anish's medal has taken India's tally to 34—16 gold, eight silver and 10 bronze.

Anish scored 30 points in the finals to finish two points ahead of Australia's Sergei Evglevski. Sam Gowin of England scored 17 to take the bronze medal.

Earlier today, Tejaswini Sawant and Anjum Moudgil claimed the gold and silver respectively in the women's 50m rifle 3 positions.

Tejaswini registered a new Commonwealth Games record of 457.9 points to take the top honours. Anjum scored 455.7. This is Anjum's first Commonwealth Games in her maiden appearance.

Indian shooters have been on a medal-winning spree in the ongoing Commonwealth Games. Tejaswini won the silver in 50m rifle prone on Thursday.

Shreyasi Singh brought laurels to India when she won the gold in the women's double trap final.

Ankur Mittal and Om Prakash Mitharval won bronze in the men's double trap final and 50m air pistol event respectively. Mitharval had also won the bronze in the 10m air pistol final.

Jitu Rai won the gold in the 10m air pistol event, but couldn't produce a similar performance in the 50m air pistol event. He is a Commonwealth games gold medallist in the 50m air pistol event in Glasgow four years ago.

Heena Sidhu and Manu Bhaker also won gold medals earlier in the week. Heena won the gold in women's 25m pistol event and had previously won the silver in the 10m air pistol event. Sixteen-year-old Manu Bhaker had bested Heena in the 10m event when she won the gold.

Mehuli Ghosh and Apurvi Chandela also added to India's medal tally in the Commonwealth Games with a silver and bronze respectively in the women's 10m air rifle event.
