Heena Sidhu wins gold in women's 25m pistol event at CWG 2018

India shooters are on a medal-shooting spree at the the 21st Commonwealth Games (CWG) in Gold Coast. On Tuesday, shooter Heena Sidhu brought laurels to the country by winning gold medal in women's 25m pistol event of the Commonwealth Games 2018. 

This is Heena's second medal at the Commonwealth Games 2018. Earlier on Sunday, Heena Sidhu staged a remarkable recovery to secure silver in women's 10 air pistol, while India's Manu Bhaker had won the gold.

On Tuesday, Indian shooters Annu Singh and Heena Sidhu had both entered the final of the women's 25 metre pistol event at the Commonwealth Games 2018. While Annu finished the qualification stage at the second spot with a total of 584 points, Heena had finished third with 579.

Xiu Hong Teh of Singapore had topped the standings with 584. Heena started slowly before climbing up the standings with an awesome show in the rapid round. 

Later, in a sudden turn of events, Heena managed a comeback to secure the first place.
