IndiGo has cancelled all of its flights to and from Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Madinah until October 17 amid heightened security concerns in the region.

The airline issued a travel advisory on Tuesday urging passengers to check their flight status on its official website before heading to the airport.

“Timely updates are being shared on the contact details provided at the time of booking. Our support teams remain available to assist with any queries or concerns,” IndiGo said. “Your safety and well-being remain our top priority. We are in constant coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure safe operations,” it added.
Authorities have extended the closure of Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport until Saturday after the continuing attacks by the Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen.

The attacks have disrupted air travel in the Saudi capital. The Saudi civil aviation authority issued a statement saying that their operation were suspended to allow for the completion of procedures to ensure the safety and operational readiness of the airport's facilities.

The King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh was also ordered to be closed until October 17 so authorities could ensure the safety.

On Saturday, thirteen people, including an Indian, died and 300 were injured in an aerial attack. The next day, an attack killed one person and injured 11 others.

Air India and Air India Express have also extended their suspension of flights until October 15.

Akasa Air extended its suspension of flights to and from Riyadh and Jeddah until October 17.

Passengers who booked Indigo flights are advised to monitor updates through the airline's website and the contact details at the time of booking before proceeding to the airport.
