US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth on Tuesday said Iran's biggest mistake was targeting its neighbours, adding that Tehran now stands alone and is badly losing.
"Today will be the most intense day of strikes against Iran... The most fighters, the most bombers, the most intelligence, more defined and better than ever," Hegseth said during a media briefing.

The goals of the US campaign have not changed, and are being executed with "ruthless precision," he said. Listing the goals, he said the priority will be to destroy the missile stockpiles, missile launchers, and their defense industrial base. Hegseth said after this, the US will destroy Iran’s navy. And the final goal is to “permanently deny Iran nuclear weapons", he added.
”Claiming that Iran is "desperate and scrambling", he said the country has fired the lowest number of missiles in the last 24 hours.
Hegseth warned Tehran that if it stops the flow of oil within Strait of Hormuz, US will strike it "harder than ever". "We will not relent until the enemy is totally and decisively defeated," he added.
The US war secretary alleged that Iran was firing missiles from schools and hospitals.
This comes hours after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that "we are breaking their bones" and said the war's aim is a popular overthrow of Iran's government. "Our aim is to bring the Iranian people to cast off the yoke of tyranny; ultimately, it depends on them," Netanyahu said.
