Amid reports that the Lebanese militant group, Hezbollah, is attempting to reorganise, a Lebanese journalist and commentator has mentioned how the Iranian proxy has been completely wiped out.
“The organisation is in a state of complete internal collapse and has lost its operational capabilities. It has lost its public legitimacy in Lebanon and the Arab world,” Lebanese commentator Rami Naim told a podcast hosted by journalist Sabine Youssef.
Naim claimed that Hezbollah, once considered an effective military force, has become a disintegrated and confused entity. "Those who knew where the remaining missiles are dead," he said. "Hezbollah now doesn't know where its ballistic missiles or precision missiles are. There are no maps. Hezbollah has disintegrated; it's over. I promise you, Hezbollah is finished! They don't even have slingshots and water cannons left!,” Naim said.
The political faction of the militant group receives orders directly from Iran. "Sheikh Naim Qassem is like this announcer who reads the newscast, but he is not the one who writes it. The Iranians write for him, he only reads," Naim claimed.
The commentator also ridiculed Hezbollah's ideological and religious base, wherein they claim that divine forces aid the organisation’s fighters. The Hezbollah are “completely disconnected from reality”, Naim said. “How do they explain that? Because when we enter battle, the angels come down and fight with us.' Brother, where are they? These angels, why didn't they rescue us from Israel?,” Naim said. “Maybe they turned out to be Israeli angels? That doesn't make sense!,” he added.
He also criticised Hezbollah for using the threat of "weapons of resistance" to silence any internal criticism: "You have turned anyone who is against your weapons into a Zionist. Anyone who tells you that he does not want your weapons has become an agent,” he said.
Naim’s remarks come amid reports that the Lebanese militant group is secretly rebuilding itself with the help of Iranian agents and internal reforms. According to a report that appeared in the French newspaper Le Figaro, though the group has agreed to disarm in southern Lebanon, it still has weapons in other areas of its influence and is secretly rebuilding its structure.
