The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of 4187 Sub Inspector vacancies in Central Police Forces.
The vacancies are for the post of Sub Inspector in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and Delhi Police. This recruitment drive also provides an opportunity for women to apply. The total number of vacancies includes 4001 positions in CAPF and 186 positions in Delhi Police.
The application deadline for this recruitment is March 28, 2024. The computer-based exam for this recruitment will be conducted in May 2024.
Eligibility Criteria:
Education: Applicants must have a graduation degree or equivalent.
Age: The age range for applicants is 20 to 25 years, with a relaxation of 5 years for SC and 3 years for OBC candidates.
Driving License: Male applicants for the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police must possess a current LMV (Two Wheeler and Car) Driving License during the Physical Fitness Test.
Salary:
Sub Inspector (GD), CAPF: 35,400–1,12,400 (Group B).
Sub-Inspector (Executive), Delhi Police: 35,400–1,12,400 (Group C).
Physical Qualification:
Male: Height: 170 cm, Chest 80–85 cm. ST Category: Height: 162.5 cm, Chest 77–82 cm.
Female: Height: 157 cm. ST Category: Height: 154 cm.
Weight: Proportionate to height.
Visual Acuity: 6/6 for both eyes, 6/9 without glasses.
Athletic Test:
Male: 100m run in 16 seconds, 1.6 km in 6.5 minutes, Running, Long Jump: 3.65m, High Jump: 1.2m, Shot Put (16 Lbs): 4.5m.
Female: 100m in 18 seconds, 800m in 4 minutes, Long Jump: 2.7m, High Jump: 0.9m.
Selection Process:
The selection process includes a Written Test, Physical Fitness Test, and Medical Examination. The written exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 9, 10, and 13, 2024. More information about the written exam and syllabus can be found on the official website.
