A spiritual leader was using Facebook to lure vulnerable women into his trap. On the pretext of offering them wisdom and blessings, he would arrange meetings with them and sexually exploit them. Many of these physical interactions were even recorded. Finally, one of the survivors mustered the courage to file a complaint against him, forcing him to flee.
The next chapter, to those familiar with the fate of such criminals in India, is an easy guess. Either he is caught by the tailing police, or he surrenders voluntarily before a court. However, it was a bit different for Himmat Giri, the "sadhu" who was allegedly responsible for exploiting about 100 women. According to available information, the women, with the help of a right-wing group, managed to lure Himmat Giri to the Chaitanya Vihar guest house, where the viral videos were shot. The survivors told Hindi media that he used to target widows and childless women. He used to blackmail the women by using the videos recorded while engaging in sexual acts with them.
Finally, when a woman from Bhopal filed a complaint with the Rajasthan Police seven months ago, he was forced to flee his base in Vrindavan, Mathura, Bhaskar said in a report. When the right-wing group finally tracked him down on Monday night, the women decided to take matters into their own hands, the report said.

Himmat Giri, whose real name is Hemant Raj Meena, was later handed over to the police, and the women have reportedly decided to press charges against him. Hindi media reports said he was able to steer clear of the police team as he was able to change locations quickly.
