New details have emerged about 18-year-old Kunal Changude and his family, who died by suicide after falling from the 250-foot-deep gorge at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra.

Kunal’s mother, Sangeeta, used to create social media posts, some of which seemed motivational and some targeted at her family.

In one video, she made comments that hinted at a family dispute that may have led to her separating from her husband, Murlidhar Chandgude, 48.
In the clip, she says, "You have poisoned my happy family."  without naming anyone.

In the post, she is seen saying, "You took away my and my son's rights to the property. You never allowed my brothers and parents to live together. You destroyed my happy family. You poisoned my family. You separated my son from his parents. Your next seven generations will suffer. This is my curse."

It was also revealed that the last rites of the family of three were not performed together. After the post-mortems were conducted, Sangeeta and her son Kunal were cremated at the city's Mukundawadi crematorium, which is close to her maternal home.

Meanwhile, Muralidhar Chandgude's body was taken by his relatives to his native village, Dhangar Pimpalgaon.

Villagers who spoke to local media said that the family had a deep feud.,

They said that Murlidhar married Sangeeta on his own about 20 years ago. His choice to marry on his own reportedly caused tensions in the family.

Murlidhar’s father meanwhile transferred about three acres of ancestral land he owned to Murlidhar. This reportedly angered his three sisters, and under pressure he gave away parts of the land to them.

The decision to split the land reportedly sparked conflict between him and his wife Sangeeta, Republic Bharat reported

Villagers told reporters that the constant fighting and family discord between his parents affected the 18-year-old’s mental health. They said that he suffered from depression. Sangeeta and Kunal also stopped visiting their ancestral village.

However, Murlidhar, who is a driver for a transport company, frequently visited his parents and had visited them just 15 days before their deaths.

Murlidhar’s job also kept him away from the family, as it required him to be away for anywhere between 15 days and a month at a time.

The couple’s older son had also died of an illness a few years ago, creating a further split in their relationship. Kunal also did not reportedly have a cordial relationship with his father.

Police are now investigating whether the constant conflict between parents,the father prolonges absence, added to Kunal's mental stress and whether it affected his decision to take the extreme step on Friday,

Kunal had also attempted suicide last year. He was stopped and rescued by the local police force. On Friday, the teen died after he jumped from the gorge at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar after his father tried to pull him back. His mother jumped from the cliff after seeing her husband and son fall from the hill.
