A 35-year-old Telangana man, who was released on anticipatory bail last month, allegedly killed six people, including his own wife and two sons, on Friday night. The incident occurred in Telangana's Ranga Reddy, located some kilometres from Hyderabad.

The two other victims included a teen girl who filed a complaint under the POCSO Act against him in May, and her mother and grandmother. The accused is absconding, the police said.

According to the Telangana police, the accused drove 6 kilometres from this village to the two at around 10:45 pm. She went to the home of the 16-year-old who filed the complaint against him for stalking. He allegedly attacked the victim's mother, Chityala Lakshmi, first after she opened the door. He then entered the house and killed the girl’s 65-year-old grandmother, Chityala Rukkamma, who was asleep.

Police said that he then forced the teen into his car and drove her to a lake in his village, where he stabbed her to death. Reports also say that she was sexually assaulted before she was killed. The body was left near the lake bund.

The victim's sister, who was mentally challenged and present at the house, was left unharmed.

After that, the accused then headed to his home. Around 11:20, he slit the throats of his 31-year-old wife , Parvathi Saritha and their two sons, aged four and 18 months, Parikshit and Daivikshit, while they were sleeping,

After the killing spree, the accused called his father to confess to the crime.

The accused was arrested in May after the teen filed a complaint saying that the man was harassing her.

Senior police officer Tarun Joshi said that the accused “followed the girl from her coaching institute to her house and was pressuring her to accept his proposal.”

He was then on the run. Later, the case was registered, and anticipatory bail was secured from the court.

The officer also said that Rajkumar had a history of behavioural issues, NDTV reported.

"We called him two or three times for counselling. His family members have stated that his mental condition was not stable. He also had a gambling habit and had accumulated loans earlier," he said.

Rajkumar and Parvathi’s first child was a daughter who died in infancy.

The motive behind killing his family members is yet to be established. Police said that the accused called his parents to say the he had killed six people before stating that he intended to end his own life.

His parents informed the police.

However, by the time the police reached the scene of the crime, he had fled.

A manhunt has been launched to locate the suspect.

The bodies of the victims have been moved for a post-mortem examination.

Family members of the victims said that there were no major disputes before the incident and that Parvati spoke normally with relatives the previous evening.
