More details emerge regarding the murder of Pune realtor Ketan Agarwal, with accused Siya Goyal claiming that she was under constant pressure from her lover, Chetan Chaudhary, to “get rid” of Ketan.

Siya Goyal, the fiancée of Ketan, and her lover Chetan are currently under police custody, charged with the murder of Ketan. Police say the duo pushed him to his death from Lohagad Fort on June 18 during a trek.

As interrogation continues, Siya and Chetan have turned on each other, according to police officials. Siya reportedly told the police during interrogation that she had  previously refused to marry Ketan Agarwal, but he was unwilling to break off the engagement. Siya claims that her boyfriend, Chetan Chaudhary, then hatched a plan to eliminate Ketan.

Poli said Siya had two failed plots to murder Ketan before June 18. While both her attempts failed, she was berated by Chetan. Siya claimed he constantly told her that “she couldn’t do it and he would have to step in.”

Siya also claimed during interrogation that Ketan had threatened her, saying, "Now this marriage will not break under any circumstances. My family is very rich and influential. Even if you run away, we will find you."

Meanwhile, Siya’s father sought the harshest possible punishment for the accused,  stating that anyone responsible for the crime, even if it turns out to be his own daughter, should be hurled down from the fort the same way Agarwal was pushed to his death.
"Ketan was like a son to me, and the loss had shattered both our families. We were eagerly preparing for the wedding," he added. "Whatever has happened is deeply tragic. Even today, we cannot bring ourselves to believe it," he said.

Goyal's father also denied the allegation levelled by Agarwal's father that the girl's family concealed certain facts from them. They had no inkling of any trouble in the relationship or his daughter's affair with a third person, he said.
