After Asad, the accused in the ‘Bakrid invite’ murder, died in a police encounter, another man, Siraj, was also shot in an encounter.

Siraj, the accused in the rape of a minor in Loni, was arrested after being shot in the right leg.

Police then admitted the man to the hospital. They also recovered a pistol, a cartridge and a scooter from the accused.

In a complaint made on May 30th, a woman who lives in a colony in the Loni border police station area stated that a man who lived in the neighbourhood raped her 13-year-old daughter.

Siraj reportedly threatened to kill the girl if she told anyone about the incident.

Her mother got to know about the crime when her daughter’s health deteriorated nd she was taken to a doctor. After they returned home, the girl recounted the crime.

The woman then reported the matter to the police.

The victim's family also met with MLA Nandkishore Gurjar

Assistant Police Commissioner Ankur Vihar Siddharth said that she received information that the police began searching vehicles on the Sevadhamm Tila mod road.

During the check, Siraj turned on a scooter, lost his balance, and fell.

When the police approached him, he opened fire on them.

He was injured in retaliatory action by the police and was shot in his right leg.

Siraj is a resident of Amit Vihar. He confessed to raping the minor child during interrogation.

A case has been registered against him under the POCSO Act and the Arms Act.
