Amid speculations that Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramiah will step down, paving the way for Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar to take the top post, Congress MLC B.K. Hariprasad confirmed to THE WEEK that there will be a change in leadership.
A staunch supporter of Siddaramiah and the AHINDA movement, Hariprasad said, “There will be a change of guard. We will habe to wait and watch what will happen to the AHINDA movement once that happens.”
When asked whether he is likely to be part of the new cabinet, Hariprasad politely declined to comment on the matter and said he is not concerned about personal ambitions.
