In order to verify your name in the electoral roll, log in to voters.eci.gov.in or the Voter Helpline App. You can also download your digital voter ID card from these portals.

Voters are advised to carry the booth slip issued by the Election Commission. However, this only serves the purpose of locating your polling booth and will not be considered as an identity proof.

  • Aadhaar Card
  • MGNREGA Job Card
  • Passbooks with photograph issued by banks or post offices

  • Service identity cards with photograph issued to employees by Central/State governments, PSUs, or public limited companies
  • Official identity cards issued to MPs, MLAs, MLCs
  • Unique Disability ID (UDID) Card, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment

How to cast your vote

After reaching the polling station mentioned in your booth slip, you should produce your ID proof and verify your personal details. Once the officials mark your finger with indelible ink, you can cast your vote on the EVM. You can verify your vote by checking the slip produced in the VVPAT system.

While the Tamil Nadu assembly polls will conclude on Thursday, West Bengal will witness the second phase of elections on April 29. The exit polls will be released after the elections conclude on April 29 and the poll results would be declared on May 4.
