The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) on Sunday released its candidates for the remaining 17 constituencies, completing its list for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

Vijayakumar has been fielded by the principal opposition party for the Villivakkam seat. He will be facing Adhav Arjuna of the TVK and Karthik Mohan of the DMK in the constituency. Adhirajaram has been tasked with taking on Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin for the Chepauk–Triplicane seat.

Sholinganallur, Alandur, Egmore, and Kolathur are among the other constituencies included in the third and final list of the party. Out of the 41 constituencies in the central districts of Tiruchirappalli, Karur, Perambalur, Pudukkottai, Ariyalur, Thanjavur, Mayiladuthurai, Tiruvarur, and Nagapattinam—after allocating 14 seats to its allies—the AIADMK will be contesting from 27 constituencies.

It was earlier confirmed that the Leader of the Opposition, K. Palaniswami, will contest from his home turf of the Edappadi constituency. The AIADMK retained top leaders K. P. Munusamy and Dindigul C. Sreenivasan—both MLAs—in its first list and fielded them from their home constituencies of Veppanahalli (Krishnagiri) and Dindigul.

Former minister D. Jayakumar will fight from Royapuram in North Chennai, and Rajya Sabha MP C. Ve. Shanmugam, also an ex-minister, will try his luck from Mailam in Villupuram.
