The suicide case of Confident Group chairman C.J. Roy got a major twist on Sunday.
New CCTV footage from the Bengaluru office of the company shows that there had been no fight or argument between Roy and the Income Tax Department officials that had conducted the raids on Friday, during which he allegedly killed himself.
The police probe also supported the I-T department's claim that the latter had only been completing procedures related to the seized documents, as per a Manorama News report.
Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh has constituted a Special Investigation Team to probe #cjroy's sudden death amid an income tax raid.

This comes after Roy's family and his legal advisor Prakash alleged that the 57-year-old had allegedly killed himself due to the stress from the I-T department raids, and that this stress drove him to take his own life.
Roy's family had further alleged that the raids continued even after his death, as per a Media One report.
This comes a day after his postmortem report was released, which showed that he had died after a single bullet wound through the chest, which had torn through his heart and lungs.
M.N. Aravind, Medical Superintendent of Bowring Hospital, who conducted the postmortem, has also said that the gunshot—fired just once—had instantly killed Roy, and that blood samples collected from the scene were being tested, as per a Manorama Online report.
Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe Roy's sudden death amid the income tax raid on Confident Group's headquarters.
