A heart-wrenching video has surfaced in which the 19-year-old Dharamsala sexual assault victim is seen narrating the trauma her professor put her through. The case came to light after the victim's father lodged a complaint with the Himachal Pradesh police on Thursday.

The 19-year-old victim died on December 26 while she was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Ludhiana. The victim alleged her professor indulged in "obscene acts" and she was brutally ragged by three of her seniors. Police have registered a case against all four accused.

In the video, the victim, a student of the Government Degree College in Dharamshala, alleged her professor, Ashok Kumar, indulged in obscene acts with her. "He would do strange things, be after me," the victim is heard saying in the video in Hindi, NDTV reported.

The victim, pointing to her chest, alleged the professor would touch her, and "he would say a lot of things".

According to Himachal police, three seniors, Harshita, Aakriti and Komolika, have been booked for ragging and voluntarily causing hurt, while professor Ashok Kumar has been booked for sexual harassment.

In the complaint, the victim's father charged that his daughter was beaten by three seniors on September 18, 2025, while a college professor, Ashok Kumar, indulged in obscene acts with her. The father alleged his daughter went into severe mental stress and fear, leading to a rapid deterioration in her health. Reportedly, the seniors threatened the student not to discuss about ragging with others.

According to police, a case under sections 75 (sexual harassment), 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 3(5) (common intention) of BNS and Section 3 of the Himachal Pradesh Educational Institution (Prohibition of) Ragging Act 2009 has been registered, and investigations are underway.

Kangra Superintendent of Police (SP) Ashok Ratan said that all the allegations are being thoroughly investigated. Medical records, video evidence and statements of all concerned are being examined, he added.
