Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s speech at the Hertie School in Berlin has drawn a sharp retort from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which accused him of uniting anti-India forces abroad.
In his speech, Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, alleged that the BJP was proposing the "elimination of the Constitution" and vowed to create a system of opposition resistance that would succeed in removing the party from power.
Hitting back, BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari alleged that Rahul and the Congress want "chaos and unrest in Indian democracy."
“From fighting the Indian state to threatening anarchy... Rahul Gandhi's Congress, with his ideological patron George Soros, wants chaos and unrest in Indian democracy,” Bhandari said in a post on X.

He further accused the Raebareli MP of going abroad and uniting anti-India forces.
“Congress hates Indian democracy. Congress hates Bharat's progress. Rahul Gandhi's Congress wants anarchy!” said Bhandari.
BJP spokesperson Shahzad Poonawalla tore into Gandhi, calling him the "leader of propaganda, 'paryatan' (tourism), 'palayan' (migration)," adding that he has "perfected the art of insulting the country."
Poonawalla alleged that Gandhi has an agenda to "meet anti-India Soros' agents".
"Once again, Rahul Gandhi has proven that he is not the Leader of the Opposition, but a Leader of Propaganda, Leader of 'Paryatan,' and Leader of 'Palayan.' He makes allegations and runs away. Rahul Gandhi has perfected the art of insulting our country,” he told ANI.

Union Minister of State and BJP leader Shobha Karandlaje lashed out at Gandhi, calling him "an anti-India leader."
"Rahul Gandhi is not the Leader of the Opposition but an anti-India leader who goes abroad and speaks against the nation. What does he aim to gain by doing this? He still behaves like a child, not a leader," Karandlaje said.
Earlier, in his speech, Gandhi said the BJP had launched a full-scale assault and captured the institutional framework of the country, using it as a tool to build political power.
"What the BJP is proposing, essentially, is the elimination of the Constitution. The elimination of the idea of equality between states, the elimination of the idea of equality between languages and religions, and the elimination of the central core of the Constitution, which is that every individual has the same value," he said.
The Congress has shared an hour-long video of his speech on X.
