The Mahayuti government in Maharashtra led by Devendra Fadnavis completed one successful year of stable, transparent and result-oriented governance, said revenue minister and senior BJP leader Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Friday. He was presenting the government’s comprehensive “Progress Report Card” at a press conference held in Mumbai.

Speaking on the occasion, Bawankule said, “With the blessings of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the 14 crore people of Maharashtra, the Mahayuti government has laid a strong foundation for a ‘Viksit Maharashtra’ in complete alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’.

He said that in last one year the government set new benchmarks in agriculture, industry, infrastructure, women empowerment and youth employment through bold and people-centric decisions.

The minister pointed out that Rs 32,000 crore relief package announced for farmers affected by excess rainfall and natural calamities. The government gave a say on crop loan recovery and made sure faster disbursement of crop insurance.

“The Mahayuti Government is fully committed to the vision of Viksit Maharashtra 2047. Every decision, every rupee and every policy is dedicated to making Maharashtra the most prosperous and progressive state in India,” he stated.

The department of animal husbandry and fisheries was accorded ‘agriculture’ status, he added. The government also cleared major river-linking projects (Wainganga-Nalganga, Damanganga-Ekdare-Godavari) and over 37,000 water conservation works were completed under Jalyukt Shivar 2.0, Bawankule claimed.

He said that Rs 16 lakh crore worth of MoUs were signed at Davos and of these 80 per cent are already under implementation.  Rs 1.64 lakh crore FDI was received in 2024-25, which he said was a 34 per cent jump over the previous year. A total of 1.5 lakh government jobs were provided and 45,000 police recruitments were completed, the minister added.

In the infrastructure sector, Samruddhi Mahamarg has become fully operational while the Shaktipeeth Highway and Vadhavan Port are in the planning stage. Besides the Mumbai Metro network is undergoing rapid expansion.

Bawankule added that a historic proposal has been submitted to reduce electricity rates over the next five years.

The minister said the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana is hugely popular, adding that Umed Malls are to be established in 10 districts for women self-help groups.

The government is also planning the construction of the Shivaji Maharaj memorial in Agra and the Maratha bravery memorial in Panipat.
